Hydro Tour

The world nearly ended today.

And, no, I'm not being melodramatic.

OK, maybe I'm being a little bit melodramatic.

But it is true to say that Tasmanian's have no idea how close they came to a complete meltdown of their power systems today ... and how do I know this?

Because I nearly caused it.

Deliberately.

Yep, I don't like to write about work stuff (we grow, we grow, ... it's off to work I go), but I got to tag along on a Hydro Tour today as part of my education into the energy sector in Tasmania and as part of these tours not only did I learn a lot, but I also got to see many cool things, like the amazing floors and stain glass windows we have in our power stations ...

That power stations have the world's most amazing collection of bike locks (at least that's the story I'm going with) ...

And of course I got to see the cool power stations themselves ...

But there were also  ... these ...

Big red buttons, and there were lots of them ...

And you have no idea, none, how hard it was for me not to press them.  All of them.

You're all just very lucky that I really want to ride the Derby trails this weekend ...

Dumb ways to die, there's so many dumb ways to die ...
